when i shuffle songs on ipod ...?

Question

when i shuffle songs on my ipod i notice it only "sort of" shuffles. it will play random songs then when it gets to an artist i have a lot of songs by it will stick on that artist and play songs by them in a somewhat random order before going to someone else. maybe 5-6 or more songs then moves on to other artists.
i have almost 3k songs on a 30gb ipod. i know i have plenty of selection so i don't know why it sticks on artists instead of doing a real shuffle

the settings are adjustabe 4 shuffling...under edit click on preferences then go2 playback then@ the bottom u'll c smart playback. move the slider to ur pesonal preference ...problem solved!
