Repubics think they can do anything they want to as long as they say what the people want to hear i.e. "family values". William Jefferson is just a crook who got caught. Most of them don't.

Hypocrite. He should resign. If one is going to claim conservative values, then have the moral backbone to uphold them. I hope he resigns rather than join the list of politicans who have dishonored the country and their office by thumbing their noses at public opinion (Ted Kennedy, Gerry Studds, Barney Frank, John Murtha, William Jefferson).
