dude to be completely honest with you I know for a fact that it really doesn't matter what song you sing for her. go with absolutely any song you feel confident that you can play and sing well and this girl will love it no matter what it is. if i were you i would just go with that cat stevens song your talking about. she'll just like that you but effort into doing something nice for her and if you're good at singing and playing guitar then that'll make her melt too. or a good idea would be to find out what song she likes and then play it for her, that always works like a charm for me.

I heard a girl sing No Doubt's "Don't Speak" with just an acoustic guitar once, and it sounded really beautiful. Anything by Brandi Carlile, Fionna Apple, or Feist. Listen to the Arcade Fire's "In the Backseat." That might sound good acoustic. Some others that may sound good: God Only Knows-The Beach Boys Wedding Bell-Beach House The World I know-Collective Soul Kids-MGMT (listen to the Kooks version, if you haven't heard it) Losing my Religion-R.E.M. One More Cup of Coffee for the Road-Bob Dylan Fake Plastic Trees- Radiohead The Mountain-Heartless Bastards

Blue Burns Orange by Hawthorne Heights would be a great song for that. Yes i'm also a junior so it won't be too corny or nothin'. There are to singers though: singer and screamer, so just sing the main vocals. But trust me man, the chorus will steal her heart.

"If" by Bread.
It'll make her cry and love you.
Women love musicians. That's why I play four instruments.
Maybe not, because the song sounds like a "I want to show you that I love you because we're in a relationship" kinda song. But in the sources I have the guitar chords and lyrics to this song.
Good luck, and I hope you win her heart. I'm sure you will.

Dude, I think "How Can I Tell You" would give you some massive street cred. It's certainly not something most juniors in high school would know. I like that it's not something she'll have heard on the radio recently, which will make it far more special. Go for broke and go with your gut!

First of all, can you sing? Second, we can't pick out songs for you because only you know how you feel about this girl. I'm confident that you will be able to pick out a song. I just hope that it's not cheesy and doesn't embarrass her.

Okay, I'm a sophomore, and I like both of these songs. They are acoustic and are sweet. Listen to Please Be Mine and Hello Beautiful by the Jonas Brothers.. I don't know. You might think they are too young. Hope this helped.
