When was the first time you wore rubber gloves, and what was your initial reaction?

Rubber gloves....initial reaction? nothing really? Just hoping that there's no leak while i'm cleaning the bathroom!

It was a cold and dreary day in Texas.I had to unclog a toilet at work.I went into the shop and there she was......a box of 100 count latex gloves.I stared at her with lust as I went to tear the boxtop open. I screamed with sheer delight as I slipped those latex gloves on my manly hands. And the rest is history. I usually order 4 boxes each time I place an order.

I guess it was when I started my first job in food service.

My initial reaction was "one size fits all my ***!" (I have pretty big hands, and the gloves made "webs" between my fingers...)

I still pretty much feel the same.

i was 17 and a lifeguard at our area pool. part of my job included cleaning the toilets after some very nasty visitors who didn't know how to flush stopped the commodes up. the gloves made me feel safe even though my insides were queasy!!!

not counting the dishwashing type but the real honest to goodness surgical type..when i was 18 and assisted the dentist with a surgery of the removal of 4 wisdom teeth...my reaction: cool !

rubber gloves make me cringe. My hands feel icky inside them. When I take them out.....they feel powdery. They drive me nuts.

I believe that was when I decided that I wanted my hands to stay soft even after doing the b'fast, lunch and dinner dishes.
