I just wait and eventually find it at Goodwill or another thrift store. In other words, doesn't matter, because I'm generally looking for new items to give others as presents and not for myself. Recent examples of items brand new are:
Leap Pad that retails for $80.-$15 and had TV connection too.
Hulk twin sheet set $5.99.
$60 Italian men's belt $5.00.

I try to wait for a sale or check e-bay or another site, depends sometimes things that I want will take over a year before the price drops so I just buy it at full price.

I usually wait till big holidays to buy things, cause thats when things are extremely cheap, and make you realize that 300 dollar gadget was only worth... 50 bucks! So always go for the sale.

I rarely see something that I absolutely have to have.
Things I absolutely have to have include things like car parts or replacement items around the house. Light bulbs that burn out, brake shoes need replaced, ran out of trash bags, or dish soap.
These things I may end up paying more than I would like to if the need arises unexpectedly. If i can live with out it now, I can continue to live without it until it is a price I can stomach.

Full retail price, then if goes on sale I get a refund and re- buy it.

If I have the money, I'll buy it. If I don't, I wait for a sale, or I'll start saving. I used to could pull the puppy dog eyes to my husband, but he's got me figured out now!

I wait for it to go on sale or wait a couple of months for a better deal.

I would wait for it to be on sale, because that would be further more into the year, so the price would drop even further.
