Our ancient (caveman time) fears. When it is dark, you don't know what is coming or howling (growling outside) your cave or below the tree where you are perched in the night. Fear comes out of ignorance and also the need for (desire for, instinct for) survival.

Fire came out of that need and that fear. So, fears are good up to a point but if you are too much troubled by fears, it is time to seek help. Email me for free advice.

Fear of darkness or Achluophobia is an irrational fear of darkness, the person suffering from Achluophobia usually imagines monsters and evil things trying to harm him as soon as he stays in a dark place. The Achluophobia may impact his life to an extent that he may not sleep until the lights are turned on.
