I am "shocked and awed" that there are still people out there that support the "commander-in-chief". If that was what they were trying to accomplish, they have succeeded.

I think that every terror attack gains motivation for more terrorists to join their cause. Anything that we do is merely feeding the fire. They like that they are getting so much attention. It's a cultural war more than anything. Even if there weren't any Bush, they would still be attacking. They want to take over the world one western country at a time. The moon and stars on Arab flags are to symbolize a peaceful takeover. The swords on the Arab flags (Saudi Arabia) mean that they were taken by force. Shock and awe has only increased the terrorists in number. Impressionable youth excited for blood violence, and their national and religious pride. It's really scary.

He actually thought that one shock and awe bomb was going to scare them into submission, in much the same way a caveman might have been in shock and awe of an eclipse of the sun. Not only has Bush underestimated them, he is insulting them because he believes they cant understand the most fundamental elements of what's going on there.
I'd say, if being in shock and awe of abject stupidity is possible, he's done his job.

Nope. The number of terror attacks has been increasing. The Taliban are making a come back in Afghanistan. US intelligence report this week says Al Quida is back to the pre 911 attack days and is working on bio and nuclear capabilities. The only thing "Shock and awe" accomplished is it kill more civilians in Iraq than Saddam and help recruit more terrorist.

History will tell, it is too early.
Clinton on the other hand gave us shock and awe by not bagging bin laden when he had a chance. And by cutting our intel and military resources which made us vulnerable to attack.

The Arab league is sending a delegation to Israel in hopes of defusing the situation vis a vis the Hamas terrorists in Palestine. Libya has given up its ambitions of developing nuclear weapons. The United Arab Emirates and Qatr are steadfast in aiding us with our military effort.
If I had predicted such things ten years ago my family would have asked a judge to sign my commitment papers.

You're right. Probably not and who cares anyway?
We should just come home and forget about it until we get hit again.
No need for us to be fearful or, even worse, let that fear control us in the meantime, right?
We should just continue to live in ignorance of the fact that radical Islam wishes to annihilate us, go on with our lives and hope they'll somehow decide for themselves to leave us alone like we did in the '90's.
It was so much easier.

I have loved most of all your questions but this one I don't really get, are you speaking of Bush, did he say this or just echo another President? Either way he did more then just "shock and awe" intimidate? more like exterminate.
Successful ? Depends on if your with him or if your against him.
Edit: One thing I can always count on /is bad ratings when I answer your questions...lol

Don't think so "shock and awe" is only good against a conventional enemy. Guerilla fighters do not have fixed positions or infrastructure so it is bit harder to use your fancy weapons to the best effect.

Intention of intimidation achieved merely the Establishment of the prolonged Bush Era.
