My mother was a great seamstress. She sewed me a fort that slipped over the card table. She found a pattern that looked like wood, cut a door and windows that could be closed. Your question brought back a lot of happy memories about that fort.

When I was a kid I would get an old bed sheet, a box fan and about four or five heavy books and make a blow up tent with the books holding down the corners of the sheet and one on top of the box fan....it was cooool!

I try to teach that to the yung-uns these days. I remeber even building one in my college dorm room. My roomate(an art major-go figure) and I had sheets all over the place. I had to crawl under a tunnel just to get to my bed. We kept it like that for about three weeks. It was awesome!

I could totally go for that right now. A little nostalgia would be nice. Most of the time my sis and I would use chairs and blankets too... good times.

Hey..we can use the kitchen table as the ceiling and drape a huge blanket over it...I'll get the flashlights!!

i loved doing that with my friends!!!!!!! , then my mom bought a new couch that you couldn't take the cushions out. saddest day of my life. lol .
