My mother was a great seamstress. She sewed me a fort that slipped over the card table. She found a pattern that looked like wood, cut a door and windows that could be closed. Your question brought back a lot of happy memories about that fort.

When I was a kid I would get an old bed sheet, a box fan and about four or five heavy books and make a blow up tent with the books holding down the corners of the sheet and one on top of the box fan....it was cooool!

I try to teach that to the yung-uns these days. I remeber even building one in my college dorm room. My roomate(an art major-go figure) and I had sheets all over the place. I had to crawl under a tunnel just to get to my bed. We kept it like that for about three weeks. It was awesome!

I could totally go for that right now. A little nostalgia would be nice. Most of the time my sis and I would use chairs and blankets too... good times.

I wouldn't mind...
I do it on a regular basis, during thunderstorms, for my cat to hide in...
I'm an expert at this by now...do you need my expertise?
