i was wondering where cause i was talking to my mom and i'm like don't cause you'll get in somewhere thats like a 3 day trip and i wouldn't be able to visit much. So i was just wondering what was the nearest women's prison. I can't find it online (which is annoying)

It depends on the crime and the court. County lock-up for most minor crimes with jail time; state prison for more serios crimes sentenced by a state judge; federal prison for federal court cases. On the state website, www.missouri.gov try looking under "Department of Corections" for a list of fascilities.

Do not assume a person will go to the nearest prison to their home either. It depends on capacity of the prisons and whether or not there is room for the inmate.
