There is still a big controversy on acid date Indian head (Buffalo) nickels. Only collectors on limited budgets collect them and the rest consider the coins damaged. It actually boils down to finding a buyer. On line auctions seem the easiest for the person finds you and not the other way around. I can not even guess at a price. the 1916-D trends for $13 in grade good, so dealers would sell it for a little less than trends. I think it may depend on how much horn is on the Buffalo. In grade dood there is not much horn showing. Hope this helps some.
