Rubik's cube.
(Often misspelled rubix, rubick's or rubics.) It was originally called "Magic Cube" by the inventor, but Ideal Toys renamed it when they acquired it.
They have contests to see how fast you can solve them. I think the world record for solving it is like 5 seconds. If you memorize the right algorithm, you can solve them pretty fast too. There are even algorithms to solve it without ever looking at it (not even the starting position!). If you want to solve one, you should check out the website i link to below and memorize a step by step process to help you do it.
