you bet cha, I'm sure those chimp mama's are just as irritated with their chimp hubby's as we all are - they need to boss them around just like we do :)

Well considering that chimpanzees and humans are many ways alike... I would predict that older chimps would boss around the younger chimps. Hopes that helps.

Yes, there is an established hierarchy in many animals. It is based on strength, age, size, and sometimes peers. Dominance in animals is a complex behavior. It is not just bossing others around.
