For x, take the difference between -6 and 3 to get 9.
For y, take the difference between 10 and -2 to get 12.

Now use c = sqrt( x^2 + y^2 )

c = sqrt( 9^2 + 12^2 ) = sqrt(81 + 144) = sqrt(225) = 15

The distance is 15.

well you have to use the distance formula.
d= (x -x)squared + (y-y) squared
(3- -6) squared + ( -2 - 10) squared.
(9) squared + (-12) squared
81 + 144
square root of 225 = 15
distance between the two is 15.

D = SQRT [(-6 - 3)^2 + (10 - (-2))^2]
= SQRT [-9^2 + 12^2]
= SQRT [81 + 144]
= SQRT [225]
= 15

d² = (x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²
d² = (3 + 6)² + (- 2 - 10)²
d² = 81 + 144
d² = 225
d = 15
