I think you mean that women have lower rates for heart disease than men when they are in their reproductive years. This is because of their reproductive hormone estrogen which lowers blood cholesterol levels and provides partial protection against cardiovascular diseases for women before menopause.

Well if that were true, how would you explain juvenile arthritis, childhood onset
diabetes, primary hypertension (the inherited
type), etc? Naw, I don't think that has anything to do with it--Men would really be jealous if that were the case!!! (Hey girls, on second thought, this could be a marketing ploy--we could get the guys to have the babies AND go through PMS!!! Whaddya think???) LOL

A woman's period has no effect whatsoever on any illness.
