This woman on Oprah was charged not guilty for killing her husband who molested her child. Oprah asked every question except, "why did you get charged 'not guilty?' " Anyone know how someone could get "not guilty" for a crime like that?

You cannot be "charged" not guilty.

You can be found not guilty by a jury. It's called an acquittal.

There are many ways someone can be found not guilty. They may not have done it, and can prove it. They may have done it but there's no evidence. There may be evidence but it's insufficient. There may be sufficient evidence, but the prosecution doesn't make the case or otherwise screws up.

Happens all the time.

Huh? She probably pled not guilty, and may have been found not guilty, but she wasn't charged not guilty - she was charged with 2nd degree murder. And you can get found not guilty for a crime like that when the prosecution fails to make its case for all elements of the charges.
