Does sending or receiving a text message cost anything?

I have a verizon razr and i was wondering if receiving a text message costs anything. By my understanding, sending one costs a dime. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks for your answer.

andrew is right its 15 cents not 10 for just texting and 25 cent for pix/flix

Yes it costs $.20 for each text you send and receive. If you plan on using more than 25 you should get on a plan. They have a plan for $5 which gives you 300 messages.

On verizon sending costs .15 and receiving costs .15 without a plan. Plans start at $5/month for 250 messages.

You could call Verizon and ask them. You could look at your phone bill and see if your text messages cost you any money. If it does then you need to call your network (Verizon) and ask them to add unlimited texting. They will probably charge you 10 to 20 dollars extra a month. That might not be the best choice for you though. If you don't text that much then you might not wont to add unlimited texting.

no...u r correnct. im's on mobile phone im count as text msgs, pix and flix messages are 25 cents plus airtime, which is that.
