I know there's two movies, and the third one is a part of the OAV series. Does that mean I should watch the tv series first then watch the OAVs? And when I'm watching the tv series, after which episodes should I watch the first and second movies?

It really confuses me. >_< Any help is appreciated.

Also, when I'm finished, which animes would you recommend? I love Ranma, Ouran High School Host Club [FUNNY], Death Note, Cardcaptor Sakura...I'm open to almost anything.

Thanks!

The movies don't advance the storyline much, and don't depend on much in the anime, so the sequence does not matter so much.

I'd watch at least the first couple of seasons, because Shampoo and Ukyo appear in both movies and aren't present in the anime at first (Shampoo comes in late in season 1, Ukyo at the start of season 3).

I'd probably watch the movies and OAV after the TV series finishes, but once you get to season 4, it doesn't really matter. (Nodoka shows up at the very end of season 7 and also appear in an OAV, but that's the only ordering dependency I can think of offhand.)

As for other animes, I'd recommend Maison Ikkoku (an earlier effort by Rumiko Takahashi who also wrote Ranma 1/2, and in this case the romance actually goes somewhere). Love Hina is funny and a bit romantic. Ai Yori Aoshi is very sweet. Detective Conan has great mysteries. If you haven't seen Chobits, it is good as well.

You should watch the first movie before the cast meets Ukyo. Then the 2nd movie sometime after everyone gets acquainted with Ukyo.
