1.Climate change could completely change the coast lines of the world through the melting of glaciers and ice caps. This would cause a massive amount of people to become displaced refugees with economies not able to support the massive relocation of individuals.
Result : destabilization of the world.
2. Through the U.S.'s foreign policy and destabilization of the Middle East we could see terrorist organizations flourish and wars break out that might stem from a nuclear explosion.
Result: destabilization of the world
3. China is becoming a huge superpower with the highest population of any country and large U.S. debts owed to them that they can call in anytime they want. This could weaken the power of democratice societies and catapult Communism into the dominant form of government.
Result: destabilization of the world
4. Scientists predict that there may be a shortage of fresh drinking water in the future, another effect of global warming. They have reported that "water wars" or wars over water resources could ensue.
Result: destabilization of the world
5. Corporations follow the trend of becoming international bodies. They make so much money that they can buy armies, reinstate mass slavery, and protect all the resources for their bidding.
Result: destabilization of the world
Any one or several combinations of these does not look good for the future of the human species.

Impossible to say.The world will be different but not humanity. The only ACCURATE prediction of the future I can think off was Billy Mitchell's in 1924 concerning the attack on Pearl Harbour by Japan using aircraft carriers - unheard of at that time.

I think the world will be the same in 50 years except that the cars will probaly fly and everything will cost more.

HOPEFULLY it doesn't end up like this, but I think we're headed in the direction of the movie "Idiocracy" with Owen Wilson. If you haven't seen it, it's a must see. It's the dumbest movie in the world but it makes so much sense. Maybe it will raise awareness or maybe ppl will just laugh and carry on...???

The US will be a third world country due to the fact that most Americans will move out because we were pushed out.
We will all be living in Australia mainly.
