it is common to start shaving at any age in that area, even though it is an argument of non-public selection. in case you like it shaved, bypass forward and shave it. in case you may somewhat no longer shave it, then do no longer. listed right here are some issues to contemplate: Use summers eve or a matching kind of initimate purifier and not a generic shaving gel which will reason an infection. make particular that the hair has been soaked for a minimum of 10 minutes (the bathtub bathtub is a solid place for that). Use a pointy, clean disposable razor each and every time which you shave down there and throw it away once you're complete. Get your self some optimal capability Vagisil to apply while the itching starts off because of the fact the hair starts off to advance back in (it is going to itch like loopy).

I did not start shaving until I was 16 because I was sexually active. If you are sexually active, it is ok because we all know most guys can't stand the hair... It is perfectly normal to want to do it. I see no problem with someone your age. Although they say the hair is a form of protection on your vagina from bacteria and such, but I have never had a problem without it. Most women are very self conscious of any kind of hair on their body. You should be very careful your first time because razors have trouble going through longer hair. You should trim it with scissors first and them shave the rest. Watch out for razor burn, it it feels like it is pulling the hair rather than shaving it, you should probably find a sharper bladed one. You also can cut yourself, so do not apply too much pressure and definately never look away when doing it because thats when most cuts and knicks happen is when your attention is on something else. Goodluck!

Don't worry, I'm 14 and I've gone through the same thing. I'll tell you this, not many 14 year olds, or even 15 or 16 year olds for that matter shave it all down there. I just shave my bakini line and trim now and then and I'm happy.

Wow! 25 answers in 6 minutes!!! That really brought them out of the woodwork... Hey if you want to go ahead. It is truly a cultural thing and is certainly not in any "Health Care for the Female" manual. So it becomes a personal choice for you. It will prove to be a real bother in years to come, and will take up more time then it might be worth for you. If you are truly self conscious then it might bother you not to. But if you are a really independent person you will make this decision based on your own needs and desires, not on what someone here is telling you to do. That is the difference between a child and an adult.

Well, there is certainly nothing wrong with it...

Although, I must say, if you dont do it atleast every other day, you will get ingrown hairs, and/or it will start to itch really bad...

Maybe try just trimming it...

Thats what I do, cuz I dont like to have to shave every other day, so I just shave a few parts, and then trim the rest...

it's a matter of personal choice if one does it or not but there can be problems with shaving, one of the biggest that can occur is razor burn (little red bumps). Another is ingrown hairs. When this occurs it can act a lot like pimples. Whenever I get one I have to have the doctor remove it for me because it's such a sensitive area.

Please also talk to your mom about what she thinks about you shaving to see what she says.

Trimming for a skimpy bathing suit is reasonable. Shaving it completely suggests you need to find something productive to do with your time.

As you mature, you will get used to being "hairy," and it is what is natural. Certainly if you are unsure, then you should wait.

It's entirely up to you. I shave before my periods because I just hate the idea that blood sticks to the hairs and cakes as it dries.

yes, if you think you want to to then you probably should. Age doesn't really matter. Most women shave down there now a days anyway

You shouldn't, especially not until you're older anyway.Your pubic hair is there for a protection. (It was in a Health Magazine, so I'm not making up BS, you really shouldn't shave your pubic hair.) Just trim the hair down there instead of shaving.
