that you take out once your finished writting. My friend from Japan once sent me some and it was fabulous as it appears you write perfectly straight on blank stationary. Can you get it in the US?

That type of paper is called ONION SKIN, and you can get it in any stationery or office supply store. It's used for overseas letters so the postage won't cost as much. I had penpals in Japan for many years and that is the only type of paper we used. Sometimes the design on the tablet cover resembles an airmail symbol.

Depends where you live. I am actually going to a place tomorrow that is Japanese and has that type of paper. I would suggest finding out if your area has a town or area where Japanese people live. Then, see if there is a stationery store there. If you live near New York City or NJ then there is a large Japanese population there. I hope that helps. If all else fails, go to Google and find a stationery shop in your area and maybe they can order it for you. Or, go online and see if you can order it.
