i am looking for the cells and not the structure. like the mesophyll cells in the photosynthesis. are their any more cells responsible for photosynthesis? what are the cells responsible for respiration?

Nice try but missed the answer to the question. The parenchyma cells called mesophyll carry on photosynthesis within the plant. All cells carry on respiration. They produce ATP in their mitochondria.

ATP-Man is correct.

However, more specifically, the mesophyll contain chloroplasts, which in turn contain chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll is responsible for photosynthesis and respiration in plants.

Within the photosynthetic cells of plants the chlorophyll is in the chloroplasts—small, roundish, dense protoplasmic bodies that contain the grana, or disks, where the chlorophyll molecules are located. Chlorophyll absorbs light in the red.

Chlorophyll is the molecule that absorbs sunlight and uses its energy to synthesise carbohydrates from CO2 and water. This process is known as photosynthesis and is the basis for sustaining the life processes of all plants

Plants, like all other living organisms, need to make use of stored chemical energy in order to perform their life functions—to grow, to transport nutrients, to reproduce, and to protect themselves. They do this all the time, using free oxygen from the air and use the sugars that they have stored inside to make carbon dioxide and water.

Plants are special in that they also perform an almost reverse reaction, that of converting carbon dioxide and water and other nutrients found in the soil into sugars plus oxygen, via photosynthesis, aided by the molecule chlorophyll.

Leaves and lungs ... well, actually most cells exhibit respiration!

Photosynthesis is a chemical process taking place within cells that use carbon dioxide, water and sunlight to make sugars or parts of sugar molecules.

It is a characteristic of plant cells, algae and cyanobacteria. These cells have chloroplasts or chlorophyll where photosynthesis takes place.

Respiration can mean "cellular respiration" which is the process of converting sugars, fats and proteins in to energy - or it could me the process of breathing, as is found in many mammals and animals with lungs.

Cellular respiration takes place in almost all cells. Most cells need to use fuel sources to make energy and then use the energy to do various things.

The process of breathing is carried out by the respiratory system - a collection of organs with a great many different types of cells involved.
