I guess he still likes playing and the Packers don't have the heart to bench or retire him. But I completely agree with you.

If there was any truth at all to the rumors that Green Bay was considering trading Rodgers to Oakland for Moss--then they must not have much faith in Rodgers. Rodgers was a first round pick....and Randy's value wound up being a 4th when he was ultimately traded.
Rodgers probably isn't ready, and Favre may be the better choice for now. That being said though, Packer fans/Favre fans who honestly think that the team should have tried to load up in free agency for a run at the Super Bowl are totally unrealistic about how much Favre's skills have diminished.

For one thing Aaron Rodgers isn't ready yet and secondly the Packers have a very young Team and all the young guys are playing their asses off because it's Brett Favre at QB. Just his presence alone is helping the Packers of the future by speeding up the development of the younger guys.
And finally. he's still better or as good as most of the QB's in the League.

Aaron Rodgers sucks, thats all there is to it. Both Favre and the Packers know... thats a big reason why I think Green Bay has put up with the "will he or wont he" every off season.

He loves to play the game, and he is helping the packers to be a better team. If he was not your QB last year you would have been in an intense battle with the Raiders for first pick in the draft. This unfortunatly should be his last year, and he should teach rodgers everything he can. Everybody should enjoy watching the packers games if your a fan or not because this may be the last time we see one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. (im a jets fan and i appreciate what he has done for the sport)

He still loves the game and feels the Packers can still compete. That is yet to be seen.. seeing as their running game is a question mark.
Oh.. and Aaron Rodgers isn't what he's all cracked up to be.. y'know, being a 1st round pick and all.

Aaron rogers doesn't look all that good and bret with the limited talent around him is WAY more capable of keeping a good attitude in the locker room than some unproven kid

Why can't one of the best quarterbacks of all time be the one to decide when HE'S ready to retire? I'm tired of everyone else putting their two cents in on when he should go. Let the man play. He loves the game! I think he will regret it if he retires based on what the masses think. He should be the one to decide. That's MY two cents.
