I live about 20 minutes outside of SF and it's a REALLY a fun, fascinating and beautiful city, with breathtaking views, steep hills, upscale gourmet resturaunts, a nightlife that is amazing, and it has a lot of historical attractions, Oakland, Berkeley, Sausalito and Napa Valley, are just minutes away and it's all surrounding by the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I'm curious to know what people's perception of it is, especially people from the East coast, who have never been. Those of us who live in the Bay Area, take it for granted, but it really is a beautiful city and is without a doubt the most "unique" city in the world.

I'm from the east, and I LOVE San Fran! I'd live there if I could.

I live in Utah and have visited SF many times. It is diverse and beautiful. So many different experiences that you must return time after time. Great history too!

Never been, never will. It's the Gay Capital of the world, and I have no desire to be surrounded by gays.
