There have been plenty of books written and documentaries available as videos or DVDs done about Easter Island!
Use Easter Island plus either archaeology or history as search parameters or go to the library!
If you have already checked your library and the history section is inadequate or you cant get to your nearest library please say so!

The fish got scarcer and scarcer, the people built bigger and bigger statues to appease the gods and bring the fish back. Then they turned to cannibalism, and the tribe died out. (most migrated to other islands).
