Oh, I don't know. My family is Lebanese and Greek, so we have some pretty good, interesting food. I know that one Lebanese delicacy is raw lamb brains, and the Greeks make a soup for Easter with lamb tripe, heart, liver, lungs, and intestines, but I wouldn't expect anyone to try those!

For the Lebanese section, one of my favorites is baba ghanoujh. I also enjoy falafel, tabouleh, hummus, kousa (a special Syrian squash stuffed with meat), stuffed grapeleaves, and couscous.

On the Greek side, I think that spanakopita (spinach pie) is out of this world! I really love the Greek desserts, like baklava, galatobouriko (farina and cream custard), and kolouria.

That doesn't even scratch the surface of ethnic foods, but I hope you are able to try something new from my list.

oh, and have a fun weekend too!

I love Japanese food...so clean, but when I lived in France
we always ate Vietnamese. Delicious and really healthy.
They have something that's similar to a taco where they
wrap shredded chicken, herbs and vegetables in a large
crisp lettuce leaf and then you dip it in a fabulous mint
sauce as you're eating it. Greek is good too...Spanokopita,
lamp and yogurt or Baklava...a honey pastry.

Indian. I never get tired of it. I also love to cook chinese, using tofu. Southern US recipes are great as well, and they are wonderful if not using meat (fatback, ribside, bacon grease, pigtails, etc)-all the real flavors come out!
