don't worry about it.i've been a mechanic for over 20 yrs,and have personally installed a 1200 ca tractor trailer in a 4 cyl. ford ranger and drove for years.your electrical system will only draw what it needs from the battery.a battery only stores power.

Why did you do that. I'm not a mechanic, but that's why we're are supposed to take the old battery in when we get a new one. I wouldn't want to chance wrecking the computer and all those electronic circuits by giving them a jolt they don't like.
