Nurse, Nurse, Nurse!!
the more your body thinks the baby is demanding the more it will supply. So keep baby at the breast as much as possible, even if it's just a few sips between real feedings.
In the beginning you should not really take any milk increasers (there are good ones) because this could cause you to have too much milk. so just let it come in naturally (can take a few days to a good week), then if your baby needs more than you are producing you can look into the herbal remedies.
Do keep yourself hydraded and nourished though!!

Your milk will come in 2-4 days after the baby is born, you just have to wait. In the meantime, your baby needs to be eating the colostrum. It is important when breastfeeding, to drink lots of water and nurse or pump often (8-10 or more times a day). Oatmeal is also supposed to help increase your milk supply.

i'm so sorry (returned) approximately your loss. i've got been thinking approximately you and your loved ones by fact that your final placed up. Like others pronounced, there is not any thank you to provide up breastmilk from coming in, yet there are a thank you to "slow it down" or "provide up it quicker." when you have your son and are despatched homestead, wrap an ace bandage around your breasts tightly. this could help the soreness and soreness from engorging and quite set off the breasts to no longer product milk (even with the shown fact that your toddler no longer eating any milk is the suitable set off). attempt to precise as little milk your self as a possibility so your physique does not think of the toddler is unquestionably getting that milk (yet, of direction you will could desire to precise some - consistent with threat interior the bathe? - or engorgement may be too painful). placed on the ace wrap for some days or a week. Your physique will comprehend fantastically rapidly it does not could desire to offer milk. i'm so sorry returned to your loss, and could shop toddler Gabriel and something of your loved ones in my suggestions and prayers. Take care.

There is one surefire way but it is not the best way. Drink one or half of one alcoholic beverage. Again I say this is NOT THE BEST WAY. So no one should jump on my back for it. When I had my child, it seemed like she was starving and cried all the time, and tried hard to get the milk out. I nursed and nursed and pumped and pumped untill I ended up with extreme soreness untill one of my older family members suggested it. It worked.

Breastmilk is created by your body on a supply & demand cycle.
The more often you nurse your baby, the more milk your body will produce.
Foods (like oatmeal) and herbs (like blessed thistle or fenugreek) are often recommended, and while you might find they work for you - they have never been *proven* to be helpful, just anecdotal evidence from mothers themselves.
Do drink to thirst - don't let yourself become dehydrated.
Do eat enough, and eat healthy.
Another thought is to feed the baby as often as he or she wants, and to pump for 5 or 10 minutes at the end of every feeding as well. The extra stimulation will help.

pump in between feedings and it will basically trick your body into producing more milk. supply and demand. after you have a baby your ture milk won't come in utnila few days later rand it take about 6 weeks until it really builds up. don't give up. it take great commitment to it and your baby but it is worth it. sometimes they go through growth spurts and feed very often but they will ge tover it

Contact the lactation consultant where you delivered. They can tell you some herbal supplements that can help. What they told me was to get naked from the waste up, take everything but the diaper off the baby and get in bed with him and put him practically constantly to my breast. Breastfeeding makes more milk.
Good luck!

Eat lots of oatmeal- after I eat it I always have a larger milk supply.
I notice that after eating foods with curry- I have more milk.
Drink lots of water.
Take a vitamin a day- it will help.
Take calcium supplements.
Nurse on demand and let the baby suckle as often as possible- that helps most of all.
Good luck to you and enjoy your baby!

The more you breastfeed, the more you will produce. And try to drink 1-2 glasses of H2O every time you feed. This makes a big difference.
