Agree, because if you remember something or someone that made you smile, that means it is a great memory that you cherish, and you wouldn't want to forget that happy moment in your life would you?

I so agree. If you remember something that made you mad but changed your life completely in a good way and you can smile at something that happened at that time, never regret it. I mean I Had a boyfriend and our breakup was the worse, but it was great while it lasted. I don't regret it at all.
I give you a star little miss. And thanks for giving me one.Bye

I don't know; I've seen things, especially as a younger man, that were fun at the time, but led to a 'hailstorm' later. You know, paying the price of being wasted with the bad hangover the next day; paying the price for that awesome one night stand (with the woman who later didn't seem so awesome to me, usually after I got sober) by getting harrassing phone calls for the next three months, or having to fist fight her brother, her husband, her live-in, or her father.
So I'd definitely say there are things that make you smile today that you regret tommorrow or next month, at least. Luckily, as you get older, these situations hold less allure and you also tend to avoid them more.

It depends on the situation. Most of the time its about being true to yourself. You must love yourself and take care of yourself and your future above all. And if something made you smile in the past then its obviously for a reason. But if its something that made you smile because of some sort of revenge or wrong doing to somebody who trusted you and cared alot about you.. i think you shouldnt even be smiling in the first place.

I agree because if it made you smile means you liked it and that there is no need to forget about something you liked and that probably made ur day go better!!

depends on how big the regret was...if it was some little thing then you can let it go but if it was a life changing situation then you can regret it but you just have to rememeber at one time it was exactly what you wanted
