I DO THE SAME THING! I even buy stuff I know I'm not gonna wear. Today I bought a pair of shoes that are TIGHT for me, so I know I'll probably wear them once at the most, yet I still bought them. But that wasn't all I bought.

The best thing to do is probably to leave your money at home and only take the amount you need for where you're going. Also try and get a friend to stop you from buying things.

For me I have to think about the goal I have of getting my "big house" I think about if i keep spending money on things I don't really care about or need, just want in the moment, I'll never get my house--that way it does not seem like I'm going with out, it feels like I'm making the right choice.

Maybe you could take out only a certain amount of cash for random purchases each month and once the money is gone, you can't spend anymore. That's one of the problems I see with credit cards/debit cards. You keep spending without really thinking about how much you are spending.
