There are a number of things to consider:

1) Have a good relationship with the teacher (i.e. smile, be friendly, ask for help when you need it). If the teacher likes you, they'll also try hard to help you get a good grade.

2) Do all the homework. Doing homework serves a few purposes. It gives you more points. It helps you understand the material better. It tells the teacher that you want to do your best.

3) Help other students when you can. It will help you remember it better, and people will be more likely to help you when you need it.

A few Don'ts

Don't goof off in class.
Don't be rude to the teacher.
Don't mean to other kids.

Just a few ideas.

This is by true experience and I know of it a lot. In my school, the basis of student grades aren't academic ability, excellent attendance, expression of effort, or consummate behavior, but rather the impression.

Frankly, the impression is the overall combinations of all and personality, but when some things are affectionate against impression in those categories.

For instance, a kid in my table got 100 on every science test and another kid got 90's and 85's on his test. At the end of the year, the perfect kid got a certificate of merit while the other got certificate of honors. Why? Although the kid was perfect on tests, he wasn't academically smart everywhere. Just cause the "85's 90's" kid knows about cool species, the kid got the honors certificate.

Actually that kid likes to brag a lot, so the teachers think of him more than others.

So the actual way to get good grades is to brag. Here's a contradicting example, a kid in my class also sort of brags, but brings along humor. He gets annoying in class, so all the teachers don't like him. I find him to be one of the best in class, but he stinks on his tests, so his grades are low either when the teachers hate him or not...

The main idea of this long response is to brag with caution. Here's what the kid that all the teachers favor him do: 1. When teachers say something smart about math geography, or science and stuff, he says "yeah.", 2. When the teacher asks if there are any questions, he raises his hand and says a statement, 3. Brag in front of the teacher.

I assume that's about it, but bragging is a shameless thing to do. I don't think you would want to brag about just to raise your grades.

Here's the way most people would consider the only method. Study, pay attention in class, work hard, put effort, and do your best.

By the way, try to learn more of what your teachers teach. It'll be helpful, can't tell you why.

*Note* If you ever read the "Law of Attraction", it tells you that you can succeed everything in life if you tell yourself the following: "I can do it!" , "I will be doing it!" , and "I plan to do it!" High chance it works. My teacher always thought his cousin was dumb, but because she always said she wanted to go to Smith, he thought she was smart.

I was a straight a student with this method.
I tried to learn all I could and the A grades came naturally.

It takes hard work to learn. You must budget your time and energy, and organize your work. Always be prepared ahead of each class and take notes even if you know the material.

In math, never get behind. Seek out tutors if needed.
If a subject troubles you, get help from the teacher at once.

The best way to learn a subject is to teach it.
Be a tutor for others. You will be amazed how much your understanding improves.

Learning is fun after you get into the habit of doing it well.
Good luck

Apply yourself, work hard, study hard. It helps if you choose friends with similar goals, friends you can seriously study with, not goof around with. (That's not to say you can't have any fun. Just be reasonable.)

The effort you put into your education now pays dividends later in college and when you enter the work force.

One of the few pleasures in life is seeing guys who cheated their way through school eventually get their come-uppance, even if it took decades. That's called schadenfreude.

The best way to succeed is to decide what classes matter and work hard in those.
Then cheat your *** off in worthless subjects, 80% of what you learn in highschool / college are meaningless unless you want to know stuff just to know it.
