Why are talk show hosts such *******?

Ther are always leading the caller to where the hosts wants them to go.

Because if they weren't nobody would watch them. People like to see bad behavior.

Are you for real? What kind of empty headed moron allows someone to lead them in a direction where they do not wish to go? Blame the individual who isn't intelligent enough to see through the agenda of another person & simply walks blindly in a direction that they weren't planning on going in the first place. Don't blame the talk show host. The host is just doing their job. If someone is so weak minded that they are unable to stand on their own two feet in a debate, they shouldn't be appearing on talk shows.

I agree, but to add to that question, why do they automatically assume that because they are hosting a talk show...they know all the answers to life's problems? Please, I know Oprah has money, and I am only using her as an example when I say this, but she used to have shows about the same thing Jerry Springer did when she started, so how did she become all popular? Talk shows are overrated, and I guess thats my point.

Talk shows are either: a. one long TV commercial, or b. a platform to push the writers agenda. They don't want you to detract from what they are trying to do, so they pick their guest answerers carefully, and their guests for that matter.

They lead with their questions. If you don't follow, you won't be aired long. Ere long you will be nigh.

That's because they get paid to be. If they don't lead there callers to a certain point, and usually embarrass them, they lose there audience and eventually there jobs.
