normally all cities have laws that deal with vender's -- start with your local government - but remember you will have to charge sales tax so you will have to get a tax number from the state and of course the good old USA will get in the act because you will have to abide by the rules of the FDA. my advise before you invest too much money into this business you check and just see how much paperwork and how many permits you will need. i forgot you said you were a food vendor so if you all ready have all of the above documents you might be cover by some type of grandfather clause.

You would want to contact your local health department. I think they issue the permits.
