Well, I was and still am in Team Madonna - the only surviving team of the two ;-) and by far the best.
Cyndi had some nice songs but Madonna sculted the music style of the 80s.

Cyndi Lauper, she was more about unique style with a quirky sense of humor, but with a soulful side, whereas Madonna was cutting edge sex appeal with a sultry side, as I was but a teen, I enjoyed the spirit of Cyndi more because I wasn't mature enough to really appreciate Madonna.
