I'm leftist and I don't think that flying the flag is unpatriotic.
My ancestors fought for the independence of this country and I'm very proud of it. I fly the flag because I love America for all that it represents: the good and the not so good. I fly it because my ancestors fought to make this country and because my parents fought to protect it during WWII. I fly it because I believe in America.

I fly two of them.
One is the American flag at the top of the pole, and the other is a white one that says "Liberty or Death-Don't Tread On Me", just below it.
And you know what...as soon as my flag is no longer in good condition, I plan on burning it, like I'm suppose to do.

I guess the myth stops here.
There are creeps on this website, that will try
to make people believe anything.

We don't. L think wrapping yourself in the flag while making excuses for the greedy, power drunk hypocrites that you helped elect is unpatriotic.

Those of us on the "Left" do not think that at all. That point be stated, I do fly a historical flag that says "Don't Tread On Me". Which is my statement against this group of neocon thieves that are running things.

I don't think they do. They just view patriotism and it's trapping with a certain sense of irony and revulsion.
Conservatives tend to see patriotism as thier nation's due, even when those in power aren't living up to thier expectations.
Liberals, OTOH, see patriotism as something the nation - in the form of it's government - must earn by doing the right thing (that is by enacting policies that they aprove of).

For those of you who do not know, "old glory" is a war flag, there is a civilian flag that has no blue in it, don't take my word for it look it up! I won't fly a red white and blue flag unless its a confederate flag!

Only in America! The only country in which a citizen can be considered racist for simply loving their Nation. Liberal extremists will stop at nothing to destroy this wonderful place.

I love how the Libs always use the "Why are you not in Iraq fighting" line. What a load of crap. Like everyone is supposed to be there right now fighting. Why are they not there? It is just a line they use because they have nothing else to back up their argument. Pathetic.

Only if it is the American flag you are flying. They want you to fly the UN flag instead.
