i took my (only) vacation this year to spend a week with my best friend of 26years only to have her tell me to come up the last 3 days of it because she had to help a friend there out. then she asked my to call the first day of my vacation to make sure she was still helping . when i call she again tells me to come the last three days and that she would have to be gone an hour on the secound day to take her friend to the dr. then 5 mins into the conversation she says she has to go because her friends are coming over. i called three weeks before to ask if she was free this week and if i could stay and she was overjoy and ecstatic about me coming. what happen?

I think that she is just real busy u know??? maybe yeah she is real mean to say that but friends are friends!!! i mean i bet that u have other friends than her and u help them out sometimes!!! maybe she had already promise her other friends to do that stuff!!! or maybe she wuz just trying to be nice by saying yes but also trying to give u a message that she actually couldn't spend much time with you!!! Sit down and talk about that even and i bet that she'll have an explenation!!!

She chickened out - she is probably overwhelmed by the thought of showing you around and being responsible for you. Get a room and plan to see her for dinner - sorry pal you are on your own - better get a guide book.
