You think our over crowded prison and justice system needs to spend massive tax dollars in housing someone for kicking their dog?
Child Molesters are already getting less severe punishment than what they deserve due to the over crowded system, and you want to cram some animal cruelty down their throats?
Get your head out of your ***.

It already is in most states!
I didn't know they were after Rottweilers! It was my opinion they were after Pit Bulls, which I agree they should be banned from people who have no idea the issues they are creating when they train them to attack!
Rottweilers, which a Doberman is part of, are strongly loyal, and usually to one person.
Dobermans are the same, though they don't seem to be territorial, but loyal to a person. If one is not careful, any movement towards someone that animal is attached to can lead to an attack, though they usually warn first! Some of them do not like children!
If a Dobe or a Rottweiler grabs you, you are going to have to kill them to get them to let go! Dobermans are not multiple biters, they muckle once and that is it! They can break a persons arm!

I think that such a law would just discourage people from having pets, which means that there will be more abandoned pets and less families willing to adopt them.

Use the strike rule ... first one you're warned and fined. 2nd you do community duty with animals 3rd You may never have a pet again and do 30 days.
Some may wake up then.

I don't have to look at the videos..... one look at your question and the answer came to me - YES YES YES!!!! Perhaps twenty years in prison for abuse and life imprisonment for those who intentionally kill. Pets are a joy to have around, and it would be nice if we could be able to look at them as if they are human beings.
