I bought for a whole bunch of work people before and gave a $100 tip. I did waitress in high school and got $20 from a guy who bought maybe $10 of food ;o)

I believe the biggest tip I've ever given was $250.00 in a fancy French restaurant in Chicago, some years ago.
I've never received a tip of any sort myself, unless you count something like "Bet big on Warbow Dancer in the fifth, he's sure to win going away".

the largest I've given was $25. (and thats not including what everyone else gave, too that was just my donation)
Our bill was about $60 (there was 3 of us)
but our waiter was SO awesome and my mom ordered ribs and he made her a homemade bib out of napkins and staples! He ket us laughing the whole time and stayed on top of his game. Excellent service, it was the best time I ever had there.
