No valid reasons for it.

But there are times when nothing makes one feel better than uttering an expletive. Bumping your shin on the coffee table, spilling something... sometimes saying "ouch!" or "rats!" just doesn't relieve the stress.

colourful language has been around since the beginning, words are just sounds we understand, and the use of some of these sounds, upsets some people.

bad words are used to stress a point,
or when you have nothing else you can say, like when you bang you toe.

many originate from insults, or relate to sex

I don't know why the words are considered "bad" in the first place.
I just know they're "bad" because I've been taught that they're bad. But what exactly makes them "bad"? their meaning?

Bad habit or they lack the vocabulary needed to express themselves.

obvious....because they know some people will look down upon their choice of vocabulary, while others will look up to them. you notice the people who curse the most, know people who hate it with a passion.

and the fact that its "bad"

I think its out of habit... its just a habit of talking. Sum like me only use them to express anger!

To be honest they have no better vocab. So they say ignorantthings to express what they think or feel.

yeah why i think is becasue they hear it and it get stuck in there heads so instead to saying S***Tsay shreck! and instead of saying F*** **U say father mother and stuff like that

it's psychology / peer pressure: other people use it, so they use it to. Well, that's what happened to me anyway.
