This sounds weird but I use powered laundry detergent. Put the laundry detergent on a sponge and it comes off so easy. This also works on shower doors :-)

When I moved into my house to years ago, it had been owned by an elderly couple who hadn't mopped the bathroom floor tiles in possibly the last ten years. The grout was nasty and brown. I tried everything to get it off including straight bleach. As a last resort, I soaked my bathroom floor and countertops with water and liberally sprinkled Barkeepers Friend (its like comet only way better) all over the place and got a fingernail scrubber and went to work. It took about an hour but it looks almost new. Once you get it really clean, let it dry for a day and then give it a good spraying of tile and grout sealer. It makes a huge difference on the cleanings for the next several months.

I can't remember the exact name, but J&J makes a shower cleaner that uses "Scrubbing Bubbles" cleaner. You hang it on the water fixture. Then, when you're getting out of the shower, while it's still hot and moist in there, you close the shower door, then stick your hand back in and activate it. It sprays cleaner around the shower. Over time, it will clean off all the old gunk; then keep it clean. We put one in my hubby's shower - ended all the problems over his dirty shower.

If you have a tub, put a hanger at the other end of the tub and move it from end to end so that it covers all surfaces over time.
