Well, you could say raise the minimum wage, but that, as we all know, caused prices to go up even at McDonald's. Pelosi got her Tuna company exempt from taxes, but that is special interest stuff.
Cant really think of anything they have done except continue name calling, bickering, following party lines blindly, lie to the people, and don't have a plan to fix anything they say is wrong in America.
Hell, cant even get them to agree on illegal immigration much less anything else.

I would take the Democratic controlled congress over what we had before any day of the week. What did the Republican controlled congress get us? How about into a big fat war that we have lost! And they gave the president and the white house all of the protection they could want, and gave them whatever they asked for.
So I think that they have at least gotten some accountability from the white house. That is a hell of a lot more than the congress before them did. And I would think that is why they were voted into power - not for their promises.

The only thing the Democrat controlled Congress has done so far was to force and try andshove the illegal immigrant Amnesty bill of fat assed, drunk slob, Ted Kennedy down our throats. I can not understand why our elected officials wants to give our country away and saddle the American tax payers with the bill for apporx 30 million illegals for generations to come. What the hell are we getting out of this social program ? besides an empty wallet?

If George Bush wasn't such a screw-up, if they didn't have to spend their time trying to keep him from naming himself emperor, didn't have to stop him from ruining the justice system, didn't have to stop his little illegal war in Iraq, didn't have to keep an eye on all his criminal appointees and associates, they might have time to do other things.
It took Bush a long time to screw everything up....and he's still doing it. It is going to take a much longer time to clean up his mess....

In thier defense, though, thier 'control' of Congress is marginal. They have thin majorities. So, while they can set the agenda, they can't easily stop filibusters and have no hope of overriding a presidential veto.

They have passed legislation to rename several post office branches. That's what we have to show for their 1st 100++ days.
