Well, the dog thing obviously isn't working for you. Try talking to a mirror, it'll show you how you present yourself to others. Better yet, practice in front of a small group of friends or family members, but skip the pick-up lines. They can give you feedback & help boost your confidence, unlike your dog.

Just trying out conversations with your dog is okay, but I think the pick up lines are a little creepy. Just keep in mind that he is a DOG.

It is a good idea to practice no matter who with (if you are shy). I don't know how Bubba feels about your advances though.
