I think any time you mess with demons (not spirits), there is bound to be trouble. Ouija boards are demonic!

I remember it from when i was about 11 or 12 and it started with an O but my sisters, and friends had alot of fun with it. It is just a kids game and there is nothing sinister about it. My girls and I have 3 grown ones were never interested in it because it wasn't around then. Everything from the late 60's and early 70's is popular again. It is the positive energy they are generating together and being calm that moves the triangle. Let them have fun!

The word is spelled Ouija ... which is a gypsy word that means 'fortune telling' ... I've used them, and I had 'fun' with them, but they are NOT 'fortune tellers' and someone is actually 'pushing' the 'eye' around ... even though they don't always 'realize it' because there are at least four hands on the 'eye' and very little pressure is needed to move it ... but a person's 'subconscious' takes over and adds just a 'touch' of extra 'force' and that pushes the eye the way that person 'expects' it to move in the conscious mind.

They're fun to play with but you need the full cooperation of all the others that have their hand on the Oija probe and trust that they're not exerting a bit of pressure towards the next letter they would like to have chosen. If nobody is cheating, then the laws of quantum indeterminacy will yield a definite result. Something like "qewwoerywdoevofez."

I think it's spelled ouija. You get as much faith out of it as you put into it. If you believe in spirits...it might be bad for you, but if you try it as a game, it won't hurt anyone.

Supposedly Sylvia Brown (Montel Williams show psychic) claims that people shouldn't use them because they allow earth bound spirits that are bad to give untrue answers and they are also a waste of time....

YES!! my friend told me his house was always making sounds and the floorboards would creak all the time and doors would open and close on their own and then they looked around the house and found one of those board game things. Then they threw it out and the house was so quiet and peaceful, so yeah i do believe in them, but I would never play it. =]
