I am going to be moving to Vancouver, British Columbia possibly in about two years and just had some general questions. What are some clean, safe, neighbourhoods that I should look into for living options? What about inner-ring suburbs that are easily accessed by car or public transportation? Any unsafe neighbourhoods to avoid? How is the theater scene there? This is just the start of my research, and any insight would prove helpful!

I like Kitsilano, Pt. Grey, or South Granville. These are nice areas to live in. The bus system is fairly good in the city, and you can get anywhere by transit. You'd probably want to avoid Hastings St. and that area to live as mainly low low income people live there, and parts are unsafe. Vancouver has several theatres; movies and for live shows and concerts too.

Let me know if I can be of more assistance!

Burnaby is my favourite area to live. The skytrain is good clean public transit, and will take you all over the city. Downtown Vancouver is unsafe. Everyone makes fun of Surrey, but it's not unsafe, it's just a place that people make fun of, and it's not particularly attractive. The theatre scen is just great, there's always something going on, if you get a chance, look through the Vancouver Sun or Province newspaper and get the flavour of the city.

I like Burnaby/New west or even North Vancover. But rent is expensive there. I was there for 2 months and got a good look around. There is a subway that will take you right down town. Stay away from Surry, i heard thats bad.Hope this helps you
