Hi everyone,

Having some trouble with my car.

For some reason, whenever I'm between the speeds of 90 and 100 km/hour I get a strange wobbling in the steering wheel and the car itself. As soon as I move past 100 even slightly, it's gone. Same with if I go slower than 90.

The wobble and vibration also seems to be less intense if I'm accelerating and the RPM is higher-- whereas if I'm going consistently at 90 with little acceleration, there is a more forceful wobble in both the steering wheel and the car itself.

Somebody help! What is going on?

Yep, you have a balance problem and it seems that it could be worse than that. All the answers have been pretty much right on. Please bring your car to a good tire place, let them check the balance, also let them check the struts and the alignment. Once you get that situation corrected, try going to a place that uses nitrogen to fill the tires, it only costs a few dollars and will make a big difference. Normal air we use, breaks down the walls of the tires and escapes through that broken rubber. Nitrogen is a gas that has a higher density and doesn't do that. It's safer and will make your car handle better as well.
Good Luck, Rick

Wheels need balancing.

Also, weak strut (shocks) can make out of balance wheels even more pronounced due to poor damping of resonant responses. Resonance is why it's so speed-sensitive.

Alignment or worn front end parts. Have a reputable shop take a look and give you an estimate. This condition could be more serious than you think.

your tires could be out of balance or worn. bad ball joints, tie rods or struts. Take it to a mechanic for an estimate to repair, if it is a ball joint and that breaks you could have a serious accident, same with tires if they are worn
