Once I gave the phone to my dog, he kept beeping it, dropping it and growling.
My friend said he gives the phone to his 3 year old daughter when they call.
Now I'm on the no call list.

I don't say mean things to them. Usually I just tell them I'm not interested. They are only trying to earn a living and that job might be all they are qualified for and they might have kids to feed. If you want to get off the call list, there is a number for that. You might be able to find it on the internet or call your phone company, they should have the 1-800 number.

I will usually just hang up, but if I have more time...I'm a really good phone talker, so at first I sound really enthusiastic and interested about whatever they are trying to sell me, and I ask some questions about it..really get them going..and when they finally ask if I would like to purchase it..I just say "Mmmm...No." and hang up. lol

I ask them rude questions about their job.

Does this sales pitch actually work on people?
Couldn't you find a better job?
Do they let you have bathroom breaks?
Can you sleep at night?

And finally:
I'm buying from your competitor until you take me off your call list.

Me too. I always ask them for their home phone number so I can call them back when I have more time to talk.

Nothing, I put them on hold for 5 minutes and then
check to see if they are still there, if they are I apologize
and tell them to please hold on, I'll be right back,
when I come back 20 minutes later they are gone!

They don't call back either!!

I don't say anything to them. I don't answer the phone, and my fax picks up and beeps in their ear. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize the caller, and if it's totally anonymous, I sure won't answer it.

Pretend you're hard of hearing, really act like you are interested in their product but ask a lot of stupid questions.
