Teddy certainly would have been speaking to us frankly about the pollution in this country.

There's no way that Teddy would allow the coal fired power plants in this country to get away with not using the proper scrubbers. He would have personally invited those folks to dinner and let them know exactly what they were going to do to fix the problem.

You see Teddy actually loved this country. It meant something to him.

Teddy was very bold. He did what was best for the country as a whole. Even though he loved capitalism he did believe that no company should have to much power. He passed the anti monopoly laws. He was also a war hawk and suported the Spanish american war to get more land. He lead the rough riders also with some buffalo solders one of the first nonsegregated units.

As for your question, No I don't think he would have. He would be more of the type of person to get things done, rather than standing somewhere and crying about it.

Unlikely.
Teddy Roosevelt would see Al Gore as an opportunist Teddy Roosevelt was VERY pro defense and spent BIG bucks building the most powerful navy in the world.
He took us from a third rate military to one without peers.
His motto was "Speak softly and carry a big stick".
Al Gore's motto would be "Shout a lot and run if anyone challenges you" just like HIS peers.

Nothing wrong with environmentalists. I like to think that most of them truly care about the environment and want to help preserve it. It's one of the jobs we got from God.

It's the kooks that care more about the extinction of some worm than about humans. Those people don't seem to care about the animals as much as they hate the human race (and themselves).

Then there are the ones who use environmentalism for gain (Gore). These people don't live the lifestyle, but they expect everyone else to. They don't have to because they are 'special'.

I would hope that Teddy would take that "big stick" of his and beat Gore for using a worthy cause to advance his own fame and self-esteem.

Teddy may have been for a square deal, but he wasn't for a free lunch. Another statement he had was walk softly, but carry a big stick. He was instrumental in building a big stick. Unlike the present apeasing Democrats he loved a good battle. He was anti illegal or an immigrant that wanted heavier ties with where he was from than the ties with America.

He was complex. Today's Democrats appear to have very specific hooks that enables them to be draged around.

2 billion people world wide supported Al Gore and "Live Earth", None of them were Republicans. Rush and Hannity were also not willing to support the kick off of a five year fight to curb global warming. What would Roosevelt have thought if he could attract the attention of 2 billion people worldwide, live?

Teddy Roosevelt was a conservationist, thats all. He was also a politician, so that would have come into play regarding any alliance with Al Gore and his current agenda.

Hell. Richard Nixon sounds more like today's Democrats than Today's Republicans. He would have co-starred with Gore if he was alive. He was a big environmentalist himself.

It wasn't always a one party issue.

Teddy Roosevelt was a true environmentalist who accomplished many things that helped the environment a lot. Gore is just a poser.Teddy probably would have shot Gore in the butt the minute he met him.

yes - he was moved from the heart - love of land and appreciation - gore sees it a little more scientifically - but yes they would understand each other.

too bad gore doesn't present well.

kermit you hit the nail on the head - none of these politicians are capable of rolling up their selves and getting nitty gritty real.

we need some in your face things to happen - congress sits on piles of proof indicating treason in the executive branch and all anyone can do is talk and follow parliamentary procedure - pathetic.
