He is a Senator from Illinois and meets all the qualifications for being president under the Constituiton. Hating his grin is hardly a reason to hate the man himself. What about issues? Have you been to his web site? Do you hate him because he is black and you are using the grin thing as a cop out?
He is not simple minded, in case you haven't heard. He is quite intellegent and learns fast. Bigots will be gunning for him if he wins. Too bad that over 150 years after the Civil War and we still have people like that.

He is an American. He is over 35, a natural born citizen, and has lived in the United States for more than the last 14 years. According to the U.S. Constitution thats good enough to run for President. And if it was good enough for the founding fathers of this country then its good enough for me. They certainly were a lot smarter than I am. So who am I to question their wisdom. As for you, you have the same right to vote as I do. I will cast mine as I see fit, and you should do the same.

Why, he's an elected US Senator, for one. And as an American-born citizen, it is his right to run for President. But you probably don't care about such subtleties...

I would bet Obama was running just for name reconignition, for a real campaign later. I just think he suprised himself and everyone else by doing so well this time. I can't remeber a one term senator running for president before.

You don't like him just because he is black,please be more logical,if you are still racist,then be sure you sick and you need much help.Iam not American and iam not living in America but i know some enough about America,i can tell you that Barrak Obama is the perfect person for America in the present.

well the fact that you don't know whi he is and judge him based on "grins" shows that you should not be in this section,but i do think they have a joke section somewhere....

He's a US Senator.
And he's running for president because that's what a lot of Senators do..... they run for higher political offices.
