I enjoyed "treat day" once a month where I used to work. It was a chance to get us all together for an extended break time in the mornings. Two people were chosen each month to bring the treats. Sometimes they coordinated to bring things that complemented each other. I remember that I took a veggie platter and dip once and someone else took a fruit platter.

Once every 3 months max or at special occasions only. I have a life outside work, I don't have time to cook for all my colleagues.
