[1/2 (cos pi/10+ i sin pi/10]^5
= (1/32)e^(i*pi/2)
= i/32

Hi,

If I type [1/2 (cos pi/10+ i sin pi/10]^5 into my TI83, it gives me
-.0566856206 + .0150966605i.

[1/32 change rectangular to polar to raise to 5th power]
1/32 * (1 angle pi/10 )^5
1/32 *(1 angle 1.5707)
convert back to rectangular to get
1/32* (0,1)
