Is there a way that I can have a desktop on my computer which requires a password to change?

I would really like to know because my sister always goes on my computer and messes with it, changing it to her creepy boyfriend's band. I want to know if I can have it on but it now requires a password to change.

Here's how you do it on a Windows XP, 2000 or Vista PC.

Don't forget to add your user to the "Administrators" group otherwise there will be certain things you can do with this new ID.

You could even create a seperate ID for your sister so she can use the computer but cannot mess with your stuff as long as you do not put her in the Administrator group.

What kind of computer do you have? If you have a windows xp or something there is a welcome screen. you can go into the control panel on you computer and go to user accounts and set up and account with a password. Hope this helps. .
